She came to me last night.

Parting my thoughts like the sea,
You came to me.
Through the ether of the night.

Trapped in your pain of fury,
You talked to me.
Had to recognize your fright.

“It’s not done, tell my son,
We must rectify.
Get on his knees, pray to the Lord, and seek me in the sky.”

Wrestling with this calling,
I tried to see.
How to dodge a cosmic blight.

Reassuring my unease,
You convince me.
Humbly I complied despite.

“Since I’m here, oh so near,
Please delay goodbye.
I feel your love, I’ve missed your grace; let’s talk before I fly.”

Gliding through the air on love,
You laid by me.
An endearing resting kite.

Transcending beyond your bones,
You shared with me.
Spirit free, not so contrite.

“Shed my skin, shed my sin,
Grew beyond the rye.
Sweet girl don’t fear, heaven is near; we bring it closer with each try.”
